Hi, I was reading your blog and I was curious as to what Mia's exact condition is. My sister seems to be a similar case to your daughter, at least in the seizure department. The problems you list are familiar ones to me, and I wasn't expecting to read that-I was referred here by the COMICS SHOULD BE GOOD blog, and was expecting something a little more casual(?). I can probably mention a few things we've encountered in raising a disabled person just so we can compare notes I suppose, if you were interested, in terms of what to expect and such. My sympathy extends to you, I hope your daughter is doing well, or at least the best that is to be expected under the circumstances. Gary
Hi Gary. Mia was in a car accident and had a subdural hemotoma. Now she pretty much has epilepsy, which results in the seizures. They don't know the extent of the brain damage, or if the seizures will ever stop. It's all a big mystery. My e-mail is chlothar1@earthlink.net if you want to compare notes. I'd be interested in your situation too. Thanks for visiting!
It is a very sad anniversary. Mia is the sweetest little girl - it was so wonderful to see her when you brought her to school. She really has evolved by leaps and bounds, and of course, it goes without saying, she is a beautiful child.
Greg, Gary again. I tried e-mailing you but it didn't go through for some reason or other. I'll try writing something substantial on the weekend if it's not too busy. Sorry about the delay.
