The Daughter Chronicles

Norah being Norah

The other day, when Krys came home from work, she asked Norah how her day was. My child responded by spinning a yarn about me yelling at her. When my lovely wife asked why Daddy was yelling at her, my child answered:

"I was just being Norah."

So true, daughter of mine. So very true.

(For the record, I wasn't yelling at her. I freely admit when I yell at her, but that day was pretty calm. She asked for a salad for lunch but then changed her mind, and I briefly tried to convince her to eat a salad because it's, you know, good for her. She got upset because, I guess, I dared question her extremely changeable nature, so I suppose that turned into "yelling at her." It was totally worth it to hear her pull out that excuse, though.)

    Greetings,
I was checking out on the www. a comedian's bio, and ran a google check..., this led me to your blog(?). I'm glad it did..., here's why

I have a son/ one of my twins who had a life threatening disorder..., he was improperly diagnosed once, and this could have ended his life. My son was bleeding internally and not just a loss of iron. I argued the piont outside in the parking lot with his doctor, who by the way- gave the duty of diagnosing him to his nurse practicioner. He spouted off at how someone should kick my ///, because, he said,( you don't care if your son dies)! I told him that I was going to (Doranbecher(?))/ Childrens Hospital in Portland , Oregon for a second opinion. His mentor during his Intern diagnosed my son there and said ," you probably saved your sons life ". The Docter called my sons Doctor and verbally repremandid him. I was told that (antifolactick shock) might have shut down my sons system if my son would have had the blood transfusion, resulting in a coma. Please Note: A Blood Transfussion can have many undpredictable traits not compatable in a Patient's System and Ph Level-..., I'm no Doctor, but- a patient undergoing an operation and transfustions, that very same transfusion can turn into antifolactic shock- thus/ Maybe "A LOSS IN DIET", as in your daughter/Mia's case..., Remember, MD's are listed as a practice/ and determining their case load, this type of discovery could pass them by. I hope I have helped. Second and third opinions are wise in this case. Also, I would like to suggest to you, to " Preview Recovery Films of like nature in your families setting", this will encourage your daughter Mia and also help lend understanding to your other little one,i.e.- about her sister's needs. Sometimes, we as family members hear it better from someone else. • Oh, by the way, I forgave my son's doctor..., but, that doctor was put in his place- doctors are not YHVH/God. It is up to everyone to stand their ground when they feel something terribly wrong inside their gut. I concure, just like you- in tears I wanted what was best for my son's recovery, and that little voice made a difference in side me. Please, relax a little in the wisdom of understanding, just like your daughter when she locks up- I to lock up emotionally. Just breath love, and love Mia back by sharing inspirational recovery films of children, in like kind. - Thanks, your friend Montreville Blakely. P.S. You are great parents in long suffering- I will pray for you, as I was led to your site synchronisticly.
