Voyaging to San Diego!

Well, I'm not going to write a lot about our vacation to San Diego on 22 July, but I will post a bunch of photographs! I went for the comic book convention and decided to take the family! We went to Sea World, the zoo, and the beach in between my visits to the con. We had a grand old time.

Check out the pix!

Norah at Sea World, in the Sesame Street section, which has a lot of kids' stuff.

Here's another one of Norah in the play area. A few seconds after this picture was taken, she landed on her face and got a nasty little cut on her face. She screamed, and then moved on with her life.

Eels!!!!!

On the gondola!

The girls with Shamu. Not the real one.

Mia refused to look at the camera when I was taking these pictures.

Here are some of the many photos I took at the Shamu show. There are seven orcas at Sea World, so who knows which one is actually Shamu!

Here we are at the beach. Norah really, really liked the beach. So did Mia, actually, even though she didn't go in the water.

We went to the zoo, which was a big disappointment (for a variety of reasons). But the girls did get to feed the giraffes!

Here's Norah's wound, a few days later. It looked a lot worse when it happened, but it's gone now.

Anyway, if you're at all interested about reading about my adventures at the Comic-Con, go here. There's a lot of geeky talk about comics, though! Beware!

  • I went to the SD Zoo probably 15 or 20 years ago, and i thought it was overpriced THEN. allah knows what it is NOW.

  • Luckily, the resort we stayed at gave us tickets to the zoo and Sea World included in our reservation. I'm not sure how much the actual price was, but it was definitely discounted.
